Since 2017, MANGO has been under scrutiny for allegedly replicating a series of iconic designs from CELINE. Notably, even reputable publications, including a feature in The Independent, have underscored the striking similarities between the £50 Mango bag and the £2,500 Céline bag.

The court explicitly stated that MANGO had undeniably leveraged the creativity and prestige of CELINE by mimicking its products soon after they were showcased on the runway.

In a significant development on November 10, 2023, the Paris Court of Appeals ruled in favour of CELINE, citing acts of parasitism. MANGO has been ordered to pay €2 million in damages for the economic and moral harm inflicted upon CELINE.
